Long-Term Piercing Care & Hygiene

Even after your piercing has fully healed, maintaining cleanliness and proper hygiene is essential to prevent irritation or infection.

✔ Keep Your Earrings In – Your piercings can still close up within the first year, so it’s important to always wear earrings to maintain the hole. If you go too long without earrings, the piercing may shrink or close entirely.

✔ Clean Your Earrings & Ears Regularly – Even after healing, clean your earrings and lobes weekly with mild soap and water or a saline solution to remove buildup and bacteria.

✔ Choose Hypoallergenic Earrings – Stick with nickel-free, medical-grade titanium, plastic, or 14K gold to prevent irritation, especially if you have sensitive skin.

✔ Be Gentle with Piercings – Avoid sleeping on your piercings, tugging on earrings, or using heavy jewelry that could stretch the hole.

By following these steps, you can keep your piercings healthy, irritation-free, and looking great for years to come! 💎
