Additional Healing Guidance
How long does it take to heal?
While healing time varies for individuals, you can expect:
-
Earlobes: Approx. 6-8 weeks
-
Cartilage: May require several months or longer

Mild redness, tenderness, or swelling may occur during early healing. Contact your healthcare provider if you are concerned of infection.

When is it safe to remove or change jewelry?
-
For earlobes, jewelry may be changed after 6–8 weeks if there is no pain, swelling, or drainage.
-
For cartilage, jewelry should remain in place for at least 3–4 months and only be changed if healing is progressing without irritation

How do I remove the starter earrings?
-
Wash your hands thoroughly
-
Hold the front of the earring and the backing securely
-
Pull the front and back straight apart using steady pressure
-
Do not twist or unscrew the backing

For minors, an adult should perform earring removal. If you have trouble, please reach out and I can help!
